Mountain Mug

The perfect gift for the mountain lover in your life. These mugs were special to make and involved many steps. I made them in the tapered, modern style out of a deep red clay. The mountain shapes are carved into the mug and then I applied slip (watery clay) to the mountaintops to create the illusion of snow. Negative space was left on the mug to emphasize the mountains. Give this to your hiking bestie with the promise of many adventures in the new year!

About 3.75" tall, 3" wide at opening. Holds 12-13 oz. Each piece is hand carved and unique.
